FFS Mini Leagues & Community Competitions Gameweek 28 | fpl.wiki

Welcome to the Fantasy Football Scout mini-leagues and community competitions round-up after Gameweek 28, which for once was not a Double or Blank Gameweek but did feature some unwelcome rotation by Pep and others.

As well as the two main FFScout Leagues, we also report on the Head-to-Head Leagues, the FFS Cups, Last Man Standing, Pro Pundits, Mods & Cons, Scout Network and a selection of community mini-leagues.

League code: 5u05vz
Eligibility: Open to all

Pandin Bruyne is still top of our Fantasy Football Scout mini-league, 16 points ahead of Nathan Jobling.

49,337 teams are currently participating in this mini-league, with at least two more waiting to be added at the next results update.

It is still the Best League in FPL based on the average scores of the top five managers in each league, and Pro Pundit Andy LTFPL’s youtube.com/letstalkfpl remains in second.

Our current top five are all in the top 49 overall.

Pandin has risen one place to fourth in the world and is now only 11 points behind the new world number one, Kazimierz Konieczka.

Pandin and world number three Ola Hovde (who had been number one from Gameweek 10 to Gameweek 27) each have a Wildcard still to play, while world number two John Chappell has his Bench Boost. Current leader Kazimierz, however, has already used all his chips.

Eligibility:Open to anyone with a registered FFS account – paid or free.

Nathan Jobling has regained the lead in our Fantasy Football Scout Community Members mini-league and is now up to ninth overall, 16 points ahead of last week’s leader Ulrik Varela Greve (aka FPL Viking).

The table below, courtesy of Mini-League Mate, shows the top 20 leaderboard.

Using Fusen’s FPL Statistico to examine Nathan and Ulrik’s season in a bit more detail reveals the surprising finding that just over 19 per cent of Nathan’s score comes from his armband selection.

In fact, Ulrik has nearly 100 captain points more than Nathan.

Such is Nathan’s underperformance with the armband, that considering base points only (no captain doubling/trebling) he has 27 points more than the current world number one, Kazimierz.

But in reality (if such a thing exists in Fantasy), he is 27 points behind Kazimierz.

Aleksander Våge Nilsen (aka AleksanderVN) continues to reign supreme in League 1 and now has 60 points, three more than Ville Tuominen (aka Santigold) .

Jose Miguel De La Roca Argueta lost for only the third time this season in League 8 Division 42, but with 72 points out of a possible 81 he remains the highest-scoring manager in our head-to-head leagues.

The scores and points totals as they stand for the current Gameweek are updated every night on our main Head-to-Head page.

A fixtures table for the upcoming Gameweek will be published in The Complete Guide to Scout’s tips and advice ahead of the next deadline. However, if you can’t wait to find out who you are playing next, follow this link. Use your browser’s find in page function (Ctrl+F) to locate managers.

Gameweek 28 was the third round* of the FFS Open Cup (*results not updated yet).

Lokomotiv is the only former Open Cup Winner through to round four (draw not made yet), as fellow former Open Cup Winner Leon Harris was beaten 65-47 by Smelbow.

Other managers through to round four include The Fighting Cock (254th) and ZeleniMD (975th) from the top thousand, Pro Pundit Zophar, and RedLightning from Mods & Cons.

It was also the second round* of the FFS Members Cup (*results not updated yet).

Last season’s Members Cup Winner Pep Pig is through to round three (draw not made yet) after beating Fitzy 54-50, but the game of the round saw TedTalksFPL from the Scout Network knock out former Open Cup Winner Lokomotiv by 43 points to 42.

Other managers joining them in the next round include A.J. (263rd) from the top thousand; Pro Pundits Az and Zophar; Meltens and Rotations Alter Ego from Mods & Cons; and reigning Head-to-Head Champion Bouncebackability.

The safety score for Gameweek 28 in TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing competition was 43, which saw another 72 managers removed.

In total there were 4,557 entries to this year’s competition and just 325 go through to Gameweek 298, when the elimination threshold will rise to 20%.

The highest score was Joseph Wyckoff’s 70. This is his sixth season, finishing 9,420th last year; he is currently 3,429th overall.

You are able to keep tabs on the action throughout the season via Ragabolly’s website Live FPL.

Despite slipping to 957th overall, Andy LTFPL is still the highest ranked of our Pro Pundits, 42 points ahead of FFScout founder Mark Sutherns.

Zophar’s 57 was the best Pro Pundit score of the Gameweek.

Andy also remains at the summit of the FFS Mods & Cons mini-league but is now only 12 points ahead of Jack Penn (aka ZoumasBloomers).

Live FPL creator Mohamed Ragab (aka Ragabolly) has doubled his lead over Babis Kokkinis of FPL Greece again in the Fantasy Football Scout Network mini-league (which is for the Scout Network and includes six of our Pro Pundits) and is now four points ahead despite dropping out of the top ten thousand to 11,103rd overall.

A red arrow meant Phil Olorenshaw fell to 192nd overall, but he nonetheless still leads four of our ‘Top’ mini-leagues.

He is 12 points ahead of Ray Freeman in PDM’s Top 1k ANY season mini-league (league code: 2agvvx), 14 ahead of Jon Wilmore (aka Baines on Toast) in my Top 10k Any Season mini-league (league code: 8kcvzq), 22 ahead of Paul Strange (aka dilbert) in Chaballer’s Hall of Fame >Top 1k< mini-league (league code: mr8dyh) and 30 ahead of John Forshaw in my Multiple Top 10k Finishes mini-league (league code: 8t42p6).

Killingholme Clay continues to dominate the Top 100 Any Season mini-league (league code: xptbn4), 17 points ahead of Paul Mahoney, and has returned to the top ten thousand in 9,709th position.

Meanwhile, reigning FPL Champion Joshua Bull has regained the lead in Simon March’s FPL Champions League and moves three points ahead of 2017/18 Champion Yusuf Sheikh and four ahead of last week’s leader, 2009/10 Champion Jon Reeson (aka Westfield Irons).

There are now just 11 points between first and fifth in this small but incredibly closely-fought mini-league.

Charles Richter tops Greyhead’s The Next Great and The Good mini-league for a third successive Gameweek, eight points ahead of David Cousins, despite slipping to 2,325th overall.

Sng Junyang leads Skooldaze’s FPL Vets 2006 or before mini-league for a second Gameweek in a row, but a red arrow took him to 6,366th overall, 28 points ahead of Andy Short.

Stephen Carey is a new entry to my January to May League (league code h62bh1) and has come straight in at number one, four points ahead of last week’s leader John Forshaw.

Stephen was 415k overall after playing a late First Wildcard in Gameweek 16, but has subsequently risen to his current rank of 4,821st with four centuries during that period – 121 in Double Gameweek 19 (following a Free Hit in Gameweek 18); 112 in Double Gameweek 24 before playing his Second Wildcard in Gameweek 25; 104 in Double Gameweek 26 (when he Triple Captained Harry Kane); and 102 in Double Gameweek 27. He is yet to deploy his Bench Boost.

Stephen has been playing since at least 2006/07 and was 555th in our Live Hall of Fame when it was last updated after Gameweek 23, having finished 373rd in 2007/08 and had four more top 6,000 finishes since then.

And finally, The Last Ten (league code w4430n) will start scoring in Gameweek 29. Over 300 teams are already awaiting the start.
