Possible transfer targets for GW12
Here I’m trying to find transfer targets by finding a balance between a good next fixture, fixtures generally, defensive form in 20/21
Man Utd is not the best entry point although it probably depends on how well you think Man City will handle the Man Utd counter attack. Dias is the only option for me here. There seems to possibly be a Guardiola problem with Laporte. That £4.8m Stones could come back into the side seems fanciful at best but worth keeping half an eye out for considering he started the last 2 now.
Jose really does seem to have tightened them up although helpfully for Lloris’s save points they still seem to concede low quality shots.
Reguilon for me is the best option with £5.0m Dier the cheap option. Not much more expensive at £5.2m is Aurier although he does have Doherty gametime risk. Palace is a good entry point.
Arteta seems to have sacrificed attack for defence and they have reasonable numbers and fixtures going forward. The choice is whether you want the potential set piece goals of £5.1m Gabriel or the assist potential of £5.2m Bellerin. Holding is the cheap gametime risk option at £4.4m. He has started 4 of the last 5. Burnley at home is a great entry point.
There’s no better entry point in defence or attack than Fulham (well maybe WBA?) so this would be a good time to get a Liverpool defender. With Alexander Arnold back you have the choice of both premium attacking defenders. Matip at £5.4m will be the cheap option.
I don’t think cheapie GK £4.5 Kelleher will be in the position for long before Alisson returns.
Look like they will have a blank GW18 and a double gameweek 19 involving WBA and Burnley. The GW12 entry point at Leeds though is not ideal though for a transfer in given the other alternatives. Coufal for me is probably the safe bet. £5.2m Cresswell has some set piece responsibility.
A fixture ease schedule for defensive players
Here’s a graphic where the teams are ranked by the ease of the attacking teams they face over the next 6 gameweeks.
The clean sheet schedule
My schedule tries to focus on the stats that will lead to clean sheets rather than clean sheets themselves but I thought it would be worth while getting the clean sheet schedule from the premier league site
Goalkeeper save %
Here’s another schedule which shows you a goalkeeper save %. It’s not a ranking in itself as you can see there is aome correlation between % and clean sheets but does give you some idea of GKs who are good shot stoppers. It’s from the free stats site fbref.com
